Side Plate with Bella Donna

Unglazed slipcast porcelain side plate, moulded from an original found in a charity shop.  The unglazed plate has been damaged then polished to create a pleasing eggshell texture which complements and contrasts with the glazed elements of the piece.

Decorated with Bella Donna (Deadly Nightshade) sprig moulds, which are glazed, as is the damage and the rim.  Finally the damage is sewed back together using recycled copper telephone wire.

Each of my Pantry with a Threatening Aura pieces is unique and handmade.
