Hex Jam Jar with Mistletoe

Unglazed slipcast porcelain hexagonal jar - originally a jam jar from my local Coop!  Once fired the jar has been damaged and then polished to create a pleasing eggshell texture which complements and contracts with the glazed elements of the piece.

Decorated with Mistletoe sprig moulds, which are glazed, as is the rim and the damage.  Finally the damage is sewed back together using recycled copper telephone wire.

Each of my Pantry with a Threatening Aura pieces is unique and handmade.
