Marmite Jar with Ink Cap Mushrooms

Unglazed slipcast porcelain Marmite jar.  Then jar is damagaed and once fired is polished to create a pleasing eggshell texture which complements and contracts with the glazed elements of the piece.

Decorated with Ink Cap Mushrooms sprig moulds, which are glazed, as is the damage and rim of the jar.  Finally the damaged is sewn back together with recycled copper telephone wire.

Each of my Pantry with a Threatening Aura pieces is unique and handmade.
